This is a one day’s training course on Basic Food Hygiene for workers and supervisors in food production units and hotels and restaurants including small tea shops and “thattukadas”. It trains the participants what is contamination, how contamination takes place and what are the precautions and steps to prevent contamination from workers, utensils and the surroundings including flies and pests. Cleaning methods and cleaning frequency of workers hands, utensils, direct and indirect food contact surfaces is the key area of this training module.
